I'm serious about taking care of my skin this year, one of my resolutions. So I've spent my Christmas money on PTR unwrinkle peel pads, Josie Moran oil cleanser and "when hope is not enough" serum.

I still have my $50 winnings from here and would like to purchase something to round out my new regime. I was looking for maybe a stronger peel (glycolic?)product, something I may have to dilute and build up to. I tried searching in products but peel and glycolic bring up way to many hits to search through. Any recs? Or other suggestions?

I'm 55 with normal to dry skin, wrinkles, sagging, the whole nine yards. Need to keep it at $50 right now. Christmas is a killer and all 3 of my kids b-days are next month.

TIA!

How about a vitamin C serum? This one is a pretty good price http://www.essentialdayspa.com/cellular-skin-rx-c-firmin-p_4142.htm

I've not used this brand, but vitamin c serum is one of the best things for my skin. It brightens, keeps the pigmentation away and improves the skin texture.

Thanks for the reply but I just purchased a serum, you wouldn't use two would you? (Not sarcasm, I really don't know... Laughing )

You could use one in the morning and another at night.

Just my 2 cents thoughts... I would not suggest to use 2 different types of Vitamin C Serum. Best to use only one type initially so Lorraineg57 can assess if this type of serum that she bought is right for her. If not, she can buy another one to suit her skin... What about adding retinol to your beauty treatment?

Maybe I'm missing something, I didn't see mention of a C serum in the routine, so I don't understand the comment about two different types of C. I'm not that familiar with Hope Is Not Enough, but it looks like a peptide serum.

I agree that retinol would also be a good option, if there is one that fits the price point.

Don't worry about it ShastaGirl Smile Retinol would be on top of my list for Lorraineg57 since she already has a "serum" when you suggested Vitamin C Serum... I would think she bought a Vitamin C serum since she said that she did not want to use both? BTW, where did "HOPE IS NOT ENOUGH" serum came from????

If there are any decent DS ones, a daily retinols, I can just pick one up. Or I work for a doctor, I can probably get a script for Retin-A. UNLESS the ones sold here are better? I was thinking a 70% glycolic acid that I could dilute and get a couple of good peels out of.

"When Hope is not enough" is from Philosophy. I don't believe it's a Vit C serum. I just thought two serums may be redundant and the money might be better utilized.

I can see it is a peptide serum. Some people may or may not like the ingredients with "peptides" in it. Tried copper peptides but did not work for me..... Some members might want to chip in on 70% glycolic acids... I only use low dosage of peels... They can recommend a good brand for you if this is what you want... Good luck Smile

Thanks for the input! I think I'd probably be fine with a peel (probably starting around 30%).

I've been using the PTR peel pads and ROC multi-correction serum (actually a retinol) along with the serum with no irritation at all. Hopefully, someone will recommend a product I can purchase here.
