Hi everyone.

I'm a 34 years old male. After a long battle with acne treated with accutane, my skin in now spots-free. (One year post accutane).

However, maybe because while on accutane my skin was more sensitive to the sun, or maybe because of genetic predisposition, I developed two mild melasma on my face cheeks.

After long research I decided to start Obagi. However, I'm not sure which products to go for.
I have to admit I am not looking forward to the red/peeling stage that some Nu Derm users say is inevitable to experience while on the protocol.

Therefor I was thinking to use the Clarifying Serum C-Rx in the mooring, together with a physical sunscreen. And in the evening using Blender and tretinoin 0.05%

However, I am wondering whether I will see long lasting results by using those products? Also, I wasn't thinking of using Exfoderm. Will it not be too harsh?

The reason why I don't want o start on the Nu Derm regime is because I am afraid that my skin will get accustom to those products and then what am I gonna do in 10 year time?

I dont want to over-treat my skin...after accutane my skin is much, much more sensitive.

Any one has any thoughts on this?
Many thanks

Will

Hi, I am at the end of 17 weeks on Nu Derm. I am so glad I did it, didn't think it was possible to fix my skin. (34 y/o always had small bumps to big zits, always something healing, dark spots, enlarged pores, uneven tone). Now my skin is smooth and almost all one color aside from some redness. I have started getting the comments from friends asking me what I've done different. The change is noticeable and so I think that Obagi is totally worth the first couple of months of discomfort. Good luck to you!
