I tried some argan oil and I have to say it really lives up to the hype. It absorbs easily and plumps my dry skin up. And my mineral makeup applies really well.

I was wondering if borage oil will do the same thing for less? It's one of the ingredients in the EA capsules and in Genuine Health's Dermalipid which I have been taking for almost a month but I don't think I saw any results until I used the argan oil.

I tried to do a search here but it came up with gibberish.

Does anyone know of an oil comparison chart that lists the vitamin, fat, scent, viscousity of the oils etc...?

Hi Sakura,
I will try to answer your question the best I can for. I work with carrier oils of all kinds to blend with essential oils. Borage is an excellent oil for the skin. Both to be used externally and internally. If used externally, the oil is usually diluted by adding it to another carrier oil, like almond or apricot or even argan. You can use any oil you like. Borage is quite viscous and my essential oil book by Valerie Worwood suggests a 10% dilution.

Hi,
I agree with Ligea that borage tends to be diluted with other oils.
I love using argan oil as well for my dry skin, along with avocado, rosehip seed and evening primrose oils.

I've never tried borage oil but love pure Argan oil. I know it is expensive oil but I think it is worth the money. I don't get breakouts using Argan oil. It is good for hair and skin...
