I suppose the Black African soap can exfoliate dead skin but it wouldn't remove any pigmentation as it's deeper in the skin.
But castile soap is a gentle soap that moisturizes and soothes the skin. |

I'm not sure either would remove dark spots. I love African black soap though. It is very mildly exfoliating, a wonderful moisturizer & smells great. It is so mild that I find it can even be used as facial cleanser. |

Like others have said I dont know if they stand a chance at changing hyper pigmentation.
I prefer african black soap over castile. |
