I put one layer on to start with but had no frosting after 5 mins so I did a second layer, after 2-3 minutes I had gone all chalky and a line on my forehead went really white. It didn't wash off.
About 2 hours after it went a brown colour.
Now the day after my face is completely normal, however the line on my forehead is still brown... not leathery or tight.. I am really scared; I have school tomorrow. I will wear factor 50 with 5*UVA protection (its chemical, unfortunately I couldn't get physical sunscreen).
I am using a light cleanser without soap and applying antiseptic cream with petroleum jelly all in one. I am also applying CP serum once daily along with emu oil. Also I am drinking loads of water. I have attached a link of what it looks like.. Please help me.

Hi obsedded, here are a couple thread that should help. Also this is what I would do.
Use an antibiotic ointment. DON'T get one that has pain relief added, just like the regular neosporin. If you can get your hands on something called silver sulfadiazine antibiotic cream it is especially made for burns but you probably need a prescription depending on what country you are in. Also buy some kind of diaper rash cream. Try to get one with the highest amount of zinc in it you can. You need to keep you skin moist and covered with the antibiotic ointment and diaper rash cream until it has had a chance to recover. Make sure you don't pick at or peel the skin. Let it come off on its own. You should be fine. I would leave out the CP for now.

If it makes you feel any better I have seen marks like that after someone has gotten a little too excited with the TCA layers. Is always a good idea to only do one layer for a first peel. I don't think you should stress over it. Just follow the recommendations in the above post and it should resolve. |

I wouldn't be scared, that looks normal to me, I would get some kind of protective healing cream to put on the peeled area I like La roche posey cicaplast B5 baume. |

I am thinking you will not have a light peeling effect on that line but a 'big" peel so it may take longer but then come off all at once - like a big scab. Because it is!!
I burned myself like that with glycolic acid from ebay. Lesson learned! |

I hope it comes off normally...
Is it weird that Tomorrow will be the fifth day and i still havent peeled? I have just one flake that is a little loose. My face is tight. Any suggestions? Is it normal to not peel because its been 4 days already?
P.S. under that flake of skin i mentioned, the new skin is pinky red - should i expect my whole face to be pinky? |

Just an update:
My skin is very dry and ugly looking. I still havent "peeled"... Just 2 more flakes of skin really. I look ridiculous. I am starting to really regret it.
How much longer will it take? Im going on holiday to visit family in 20 days and I am hoping my skin will be perfect by then
Argghhhhhh - the downside to tca is when you dont peel lol |

I did a BAD THING!!!(lol)
I used a face scrub to get rid of the remaining dead skin and 2 patches of burnt skin.
I am switching from SPF 50 to an SPF 30 as the 50 really made me look like a ghost.
I know i risk scarring from doing what I did but I'm confident that it'll be ok as my skin looks okay since scrubbing, just a little dry.
FYI, I scrubbed twice.
Overall, not all of my acne marks went but I think there has been an improvement since the peel.
What are you thoughts of what I did, have a taken too big of a risk? I really appreciate everyone who has helped!! |

Today would be the 10th day. I preformed the double layer of 15% TCA on the 9th. |
