I've copy/pasted all kinds of recipes from this site to Microsoft Word to go over and try and determine what recipe to use. I cook food all of the time and am a little embarrassed by how baffling and overwhelming I am finding this!I can't stand or be upright long or I faint, so I need very simple and quick recipes! I know some time in front of the stove may be necessary.
I am going to start with with the goal being of using Vitamin A and Vitamin C to help with some old acne marks. I would like some moisturizer as my skin is dry, but I understand this may need to be separate. Here are my questions. If anyone could answer, I'd really appreciate the time!
I'm willing to put some money into this to have the necessary products, but I do need to use products on the more inexpensive end of the spectrum.
My understanding is retinyl palmitate is soluable in oil, so anything I make with that will require an oil. Should I just use plain old Vitamin E oil, or something else? I do get zits so I want to be careful.
Is it okay to have Vitamin A and C in the same serum? I know pH is important but don't know if A and C need similar pHs or not. I need to dissolve the Vitamin C into water. However, the retinyl palmitate is only soluable in oil, correct? So how would I combine the water Vitamin C solution and oil Vitamin A solution in the proper way? I've also seen some recipes using vodka. This seems like it may be drying. An exact recipe using A & C would be so helpful.
Does glycerin provide moisture? Is there a very simple moisturizer recipe? I'd like to kick my Clinique Moisture Surge * spam alert *. I've found many complex recipes. Is it possible to have a moisturizing Vitamin A & C cream/oitment/serum, or is that too difficult with pH and carrier issues?
Since I do have slight acne issues, would one of the essential oils be beneficial to add?
I'm so confused! Thanks for any guidance you guys can provide. |
