hi grandmajuju. check out the sunscreen recommendations thread. Moderator may move this over there anyway. I've used Marie Veronique Light Tint and it's pretty good. To give you an idea of the shade of "light tint"... I don't know what mineral makeup you use, but I use Jane Iredale's pure pressed in Warm Sienna (SPF 20) and it is a nearly perfect match to my skin. MV goes on smooth, and it seems to protect well for a daily SS. Don't think I'd trust it to be strong enough for the beach, though, unless you cake SS powder over it like Jane Iredale or Sunforgettables. I've never worn a liquid foundation, so anything on my face feels unconfortably heavy and oily to me, including MV. I have very oily, acneic skin and MV certainly makes me have to use several oil blotters every few hours, but so does any sunscreen I've ever used. I don't believe it has ever caused me to break out. Personally, although I will continue to use it until it's gone or expired, I don't think I will buy MV again. I think Elta MD feels a little less heavy/oily on my skin. Maybe you could mix your liquid foundation in with that? |

Jane Iredale's Dream Tint is just titanium but spf 15. Dermalogica's Utra Sensitive Tint SPF 30 is tinted a very light beige to hide the white cast.
Or just add a squirt of liquid foundation to your favorite spf and that should erase most of the white cast. |
