Hi ladies ,
I wanna ask if anyone is using or has an after sun product. If so , what products are u using?
Today I just came back from Hope, a city in BC, and today is so SUNNY. I've already put sunscreen SPF 35.. but i guess it wasn't enough because after i came back home, my boyfriend noticed that i got darker... it made me feel so bad..what should i do?
Should i use an after sun cream next time i go out in the sun? Will that help?
Please help
Thx |

Oh Christine...please don't worry. A little sun will not hurt you. Surely you look wonderful with a little color. It is our behavior day in and day out that is going to affect our skin. An SPF of 35 is certainly enough. Just go about your normal skin care routine and you will be just fine. |

If you ever feel that you have gotten too much sun, get some rice bran oil, (or any oil that is high in Vitamin E) and apply to those areas. Vitamin E stops the inflammation that occurs post-sun exposure. This inflammation is the start of "sunburn" and utimately damaged skin. To help it feel better if you are burned, aloe vera gel (pure) and ibuprofen for swelling will help. |

An 'after sun cream' will not prevent further sun damage. It really just helps your skin feel a bit more comfortable after you have gotten too much sun. I would second the suggestion to check the exp. date on your sunscreen or maybe switch brands. Also, if your sunscreen is exposed to high temperatures (like sitting in your car during the summer) It can loose its effectivenes. |

Thank you so much DollyPotter and batterat40, i thought the after sun cream was to help recover the skin from burning.
I guess a normal moisturizer with the aloe vera and vitamin E will do the same thing then.
Thank you |
