Hi
I am a new mum with a ten week old baby. My skin has been prematurely ageing for a while due to sun damage years ago and the sleepless nights are currently taking their toll!
I do suffer from sensitive skin below the eyes which I think was caused by my stupidity when trying out skin products a few years ago. I used retinol and then used a harsh exfoliator to remove the dry skin!! Stupid! Ever since then I suffer from occasional puffy ridges below my eyes/on top of the orbital bone.
From reading posts I think I could benefit from vitamin c serum (as well as some sleep!) but am nervous in case it irritates my skin. Any suggestions on which to try - something my skin could tolerate?
Thanks

Forever young UK do a good c serum which is also pretty cheap. It is 10% ascorbic acid and I find it very effective on my mildly sensitive skin. I even use it under retin a with no irritation other than the usual retin a dryness if I overdo it. If your skin is really very sensitive maybe a MAP vitamin c product would be better for your skin? |

Image has a vitamin C Serum that is a lotion feel to it. Smells like oranges and doesn't burn and tingle on my skin. |

Vitamin C has become an popular ingredient in cosmetic skin care products.Vitamin C is crucial to the body immune system, and provides as an aggressive free-radical fighter. It can boost cellular revenues and improve the skin matrix by exciting bovine collagen features.Vitamin C can help protect your skin from sun damage, especially when combined with other nutritional value like Vitamin E.It can also cure sun damage like brown spots and reducing hyper pigmentation. |
