About a month ago, I read that you should apply your Antioxidants at night so they can absorb into cells and offer their best protection the following day. Hope this is true, because I've now changed my regemin. But, if i'm applying my Replenix CF Antioxidant Cream at night...is it ok to layer my other treatments over the top of it? I'm wondering if certain ingredients combining with other things negate their protection anyway? So now, I need to start research on this. Just wanted to see if someone was already knowledgeable about this and could share.
I use Replenix CF Cream every night. Then I have several other products on rotation...Perricone Concentrated Restorative Treatment and StriVectin. My nights for Tazorac vary from 2-3 nights a week, but I wash it off in the morning. That's not going to work if I should apply antioxidants at night. Guess my routine needs some tweaking..

Actually, most recommend using topical antioxidants in the morning.Either way is fine. For example: Topical C serum is absorbed into the skin within 15 minutes or so. It cant be washed off and will protect for around 72 hours.So it matters little when you apply it.
Morning is better for other antioxidants IMO because you want as much protection as possible against the suns UV rays. Applied under a quality sunscreen, topical antioxidants give you the best chance after sun avoidance, protective clothing. |
