Cetaphil is recommended by dermatologists. Cerave i read is similar to cetaphil except more expensive.
Would these gentle cleansers work on acne prone skin? I know these cleansers are great if your skin is clear and use it to wash your face to keep it clean but does it work for acne prone skin?
Cetaphil seems to be like water when i used it many years ago. |

| I have never used Cerave so I am not sure on that one. I always read about Cetaphil and I am not a big fan. If you do not wear any makeup then I think it would be good. When I used it I would do 2 or 3 cleansings and I would still have makeup on. I understand the concept of a gentle cleanser but it just did nothing for me. I have been using cleansing balms or oils and then a gentle cleanser to get all the oil off. I don't know if you have read about the oil cleansing method here. It sounds crazy if you have acne but the theory is oil attracts oil. You just need to make sure that you gently remove all traces of it so it doesn't make your acne worse. |

| I have never used both of the products.But I don't think it will bo work for acne skin.I guess it more suitable for dry skin.One must use the most targeted products for acne skin,Such as Murad. |

I am using the Cerave cream for my very dry skin, I may suffer from eczema too but I am not sure. I can say that I love this brand, cerave that is. I haven't tried their cleanser, but if their cream is fantastic then I guess their cleanser must be too. I use Proactive for my acne and it is good, you could try it  |

They are both good.
One difficult thing with acne prone skin is that if you use too many harsh acne products it can dry out your skin. I have had good results using gentle cleansers like those while using strong products like salicylic acid serum by day and Retin A at night. |

| They don't do anything to treat acne however using a gentle cleanser is helpful so it doesn't irritate the skin further. |

| no these products won't work to cure acne. These cleansers are very gentle to not aggravate your acne or cause more acne, but it will not do much to help with kill your acne |

| Cetaphil and CereVe cleansers are very good to use for acne cuz they are gentle. All skin types should use a gentle cleanser in their skin care routine. |
