HELP! My 15 yr old son has been breaking out with angry swollen acne. It seems to start out as blackheads which then turn to cyst-like bumps. Been using Murad acne line for over 6 months without improvement. Willing to try another line, DIY, perhaps topical Rx, but not oral antibiotic as he is autistic and cannot swallow pills. Any advice would be appreciated.  |

My son had similar issues with cyst-like acne. Tried many things. There are a couple of Rx options that helped - Differin and Ziana which are both retinoids. He'll need to use them consistently each day.
Take a look at acne.org as well, lots of good info there. |
