Hello,
I just tried Dr H's Cleansing Cream and I am pleasanly surprised
It smells really nice and left my face feeling soft and not tight at all.
Now I have a Q though, If I am supposed to use it on clean skin, is it worth it to use it at night---> in a sense , since I have to remove my make up first and then use Dr H?
Also, I really liked the sample of the Exfoliant from Dermalogica. How would I include Dr H cleansing cream and Dermalogica Exfoliant in my daily cleansing routine?
One in the morning, the other at night?

Aga, my raves about it are based on me using it twice a day so I would say that, yes, it is worth it to use it at night as well after you use a normal cleanser.
Are you referring to the Microfoliant or another Dermalogica exfoliator? I would suggest that if you really want to use the Microfoliant (if that's the one you're talking about) then only use it a couple of times a week and use the Dr H CC only once on those days. You might find that this might be too much though, depending on your skin. |

Hi Mabsy
I was talking about the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. I wasnt sure if it would be ok to use Dr H cleansing cream and the DDM..
I am not sure if I am going to use Dr H CC morning and night cuz it might be a little drying and besides I will have to use a cleansing milk in the evening to get rid of the make-up and I dont know if I should use Dr H CC after the cleansing milk? Seems like a lot of work lol
I just need to get my skin back to looking normal at least, and I dont know if I need an extra exfoliant like DDM, but I just heard so many great things about it lol I want it

Hi Aga,
The best advice I can give you is "keep it simple." You have the Dr. H. cleansing cream right? Why don't you start by using that morning and night. It is very gentle and a wonderful product. Give your skin a chance to respond to it. If you add something else right now you won't know what is working for you or if anything is giving you problems. From what I can remember (so many posters) you tend to get dry. Over exfoliation is not good for you or anyone else.
The mirco. exfoliant sounds lovely. Someday I might try it. If I do I would have to cut something else out. A very wise, beautiful woman (my Mother) once told me that I should stop treating my face like a dirty pot. She said I did not need to use Brillo on my face (didn't actually use Brillo but would scrub). That is when I stopped scrubbing and over exfoliating. I will never forget that.
Good luck Aga,
Winnie |

I've gotta agree with the other girls here -- twice a day is the way to go! |

LOL!!! I am way too lazy to wash my face twice!! I only use my dr H cream in the morning when I don't have any makeup on to remove. |

I've been using this product for some time. I only experienced very mild breakouts in the first few weeks of usage. Since then it's been nothing but a help! |

I had a very brief initial breakout - it's been fantastic since then. I'm probably on my 5th or 6th tube of this by now and I've also had a tube of the Jurlique (v. similar). I'm now about to try the Joey New York one that seems similar but with added clay. |

Mabsy if you had to choose between the Dr H CC and the Jurlique which would you go for? |

Depends which one was on sale Seriously though, they are very similar and I got good results with both. If they're at the same price then I'm going with Dr Hauschka because the Jurlique has larger chunks of dried flowers etc that get stuck in my hairline. If the Jurlique is on sale though then I'd get the Jurlique because the flowers are not *that* annoying and the results seem to be the same.
Btw, someone just posted that their skin didn't tolerate the Dr Hauschka but does well with the Jurlique so there must be differences in some of the oils that they use perhaps. For me the results were same. |

Yes, some *do* experience breakouts w/ the DHCC, but typically it occurs only at the very beginning of use, when the DHCC is helping to purge your skin of all the impurities. So at first, it will draw all the gunk deep below your skin’s surface – that you probably didn’t even know was there – to the top (resulting in breakouts) but after that, it helps stop the gunk from clogging your pores again in the first place, so there shouldn’t be any problems after that. |

Hello all
Just wanted to mention that I just started using the Julique Face Wash Cream. I 've only used it twice so far. I have sampled Dr.H CC and although I do like the texture better than Jurlique's(smaller particle size which makes it easier to "press and roll') , I found Dr. H abit drying. I will try and give a formal review later. Just thought I'd mention my take on it so far since this thread has come up. Hope this helps.

I don't find either of them drying. Very similar IMO.
Lisa - agree on the texture of the Dr H being better than the Jurlique's. The little dried herb/flower pieces that are in the Jurlique one get stuck in my hairline |

I think you do get used to using this though, or at least I kinda figured out how to use it more carefully to avoid such problems. |

Using it twice per day, it lasts about a month. As you can see, it can get expensive to buy a new tube every 30 days, which is why some of us have taken to making our own DHCC. If you want to try your hand at it, you can find the recipe for it at this link: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=5981 |
