I want to get rid of the age spots on the back of my hands. Seems to me years ago I used hydroquinone but either the same spots surfaced again or these are new ones. I also thought I read that lasers will turn them dark brown, the skin will fall off but eventually the same spots return. Is this true?

I think the age spots are something reflecting one's health. If one has good circulation of the blood, there will not too much spots appear.Product is for external use only take temporary solution not effect a permannent cure.

IPL will target the dark pigment and pull it up and out of the skin. You can't know how deep the pigment is to know if just one treatment will pull it totally up. If you don't protect the skin, age spots will come back.

I would suggest use both! Get 2-3 IPL and use Hydroquinone as well. Just stop using the topical a few days before and after TX.

Look up the negative effects of hydroquinone when not used under strict supervision. There's a lot of controversy around the ingredient right now so make sure you get a doctors advice!

I have never used hydroquinone but I have been amazed at how the Tria laser has removed most of the brown spots on my face. I feel that I need to be extra vigilent now with sunscreen use so they don't reappear.
