I had a 40% TCa peel done on my face and neck by my Doctor. He told me not to use any vaseoline or moisterizer on my peel. If I did I would ruin the peel and it would not peel off right. Use Evian water mist a few times a day. I noticed that most of the posts say to use moisterizer, but my Doctor says No. Has any other Doctors said not to moisterize too. Thank you. brandy |

Some do, some don't. It is thought that if the skin is kept drier it will peel and heal faster than if you used a moisturizer. |

This post got me looking into TCA products that don't require going to see a doctor. Any tips on where I could go to find that? |

Many get peels from makeupartistschoice.com. |

Used their peels as well and they have a good selection so now I do my own.
I have done (and had professionally done) many peels in the past and always used a lotion of some sort to follow up as recommended. Biafine is the one my derm always gives but it is prescription only.
I love emu oil or sea buckthorn oil. I have also used aquaphor which is also derm recommended. They also recommended Neostrata and Skinmedica TNS. |

I can't believe people still do peels. It's so invasive and harmful and probably permanently damages the skin. |

My gut tells me that you're probably right. I bought some acids last year and have barely touched them, although in very low concentrations they'd probably be quite beneficial for my remaining issues.
They kind of scare me. Unless I have the time and energy to plan, prepare, and most especially pay careful attention both while administering them and during aftercare, I'll avoid. One slip-up and boom, paying for it for a long time. |

I've done the research and use them quite safely and effectively at home and have had excellent results....if you know of anyone who wants to swap or sell products they won't use, PM me...

I think peels are for people's skin able to hand
the acids.
It depends on the person. |
