The last I knew, they were trying to tell people to ease up on antibiotics because it kills off the beneficial bacteria in the intestines. Now they've come out with this little gem.

Another option would be to periodically eat garlic.
Garlic has a natural antibiotic named allicin. Leaks and onions also contain allicin, but in much smaller quantities. |

I think that most of things have good sides and bad sides.It depends on how we use it properly. |

Antibiotics don't slow the metabolic rate; they get rid of harmful bacteria in the intestines. The point is that we've heard for many years that antibiotics are bad because they kill "good" bacteria. This may not necessarily be true. |

I really wish the article would have been more specific about the type of antibiotics they used for the study. It just says 'simple antibiotics.' For all I know that could be penicillin. |
