Skincerity and burns

I was told that by using this skin barrier product called Skincerity would aid in the healing of my burn. With second and third degree burns on lower calf from a motorcycle exhaust pipe I was told by a distributor that it would heal my burns in days. But, before using this product I took it with me to my Doctor's appt at the burn unit to see whether my Doctor would advise this. Thank goodness I did, I had the Doctor look at the product and the literature to see what his advise would be. He looked at me and then back at the product and shook his head, couldn't believe there are people out there selling this stuff with no medical back ground and advising customers to use this as a healing for burns, maybe for the face, but even then he stated, "this product has Acetone in it" keep it away from your burns, or any other open wounds. I told him it's medical grade amounts of acetone. With another laugh from the Doctor and wise words, "be smart, don't believe these words that some distributor is reciting from their marketing literature", he also advised not to use acetone as skin care regime for your face or any other part of your body, a chemical is a chemical no matter how pretty they make their packaging. Thank goodness I thought of taking this product with me before actually using it for my burns and face.
