I saw this toner on DermStore, and it seems like a very popular product:

Why is that so? Does it have any special properties?

I am not sure why it is popular. It does look very mild from the ingredients. Aloe and then witch hazel is near the top of the list.

Only four reviews on Makeup Alley

There were a ton of reviews on the link Veronica had above...many people seemed to like how gentle it is.

I am sure it is as aloe and witchazel are gentle. But I don't see any sophisticated ingredients in the formula. I am always looking for products that calm skin.

Something I find amazing is that Paula Begoun hates witch hazel. She considers it an irritant.

But most EDSers seem to like witch hazel. Just goes to show that, at the end of the day, you have to go with what feels right.

I find that Paula dislikes items/ingredients that she does not have in her products.

I like witch hazel. Many on makeup alley also like it.

I've always used witch hazel. Mild, natural and very cheap.

I like witch hazel too - it's amazing what I see on the cotton round after cleansing - really gets my face clean and doesn't dry it out.

On Vitacost they have a Witch Hazel w/ aloe in it for like $8.00 - (the alcohol free one - actually moisturizes and doesn't dry out my skin) I put some in a little spray bottle and will spritz after the gym or if I'm hot flashing or any time I want to give my skin a sort of dewy glow.

That's the link above... Cool
