the skin under my eyes is really thin and red/purple. i can use concealer to hide the discoloration, but it always looks like the skin under my eyes is hallow because its so thin. i've heard of putting vaginal cream there to thicken the skin, but this seems really odd. any ideas? Surprised

I'm in the same boat you are. I think this is one of the hardest places to slow down or reverse aging. I have tried dermarolling, but it's too soon to tell if it's helping. I tried OTC retinol creams, but they made it much worse. Now I am going to give Tanaka Massage a try. There are some other threads about thin under eye skin here, but I'm too new to post a link. I'd do a search for "thin under eye skin eds forum" on google, because, while I lurk here all the time, I have never been able to make the search function work easily for me.

I sure wish they would come up with a way to improve this under eye area easily-or at least without having to resort to a dermatologist or a plastic surgeon.

From what I've read, anything that promotes collagen growth should help with the under eye area if the skin is thin and the area looks dark. Two products I would recommend are the Collagen Serum sold at SkinActives and R-Pur for Eyes sold at Isomers dot ca. Both products are inexpensive running around $25-$30 or so and I've had luck with both products for my various issues. Here are links to the products:
