Hi, I'm really depressed about my tear trough lines and have tried everything from diet and lifestyle changes to emu oil and avocado oil and face exercises.
Nothing is helping this issue. I'm just wondering that because of the thin skin that is causing it, is there some sort of topical you can apply which will whiten or bleach the skin?
I'm a man so I don't want to have to resort to makeup and I don't want to get fillers.
There must be some sort of way to whiten skin using a bleaching agent or something to that effect?
I just want to take away the damn blackness from under my eyes!
Thanks for any feedback you can give me. |

You could try liver cleanse. Dark shadows under eyes are related to lack of sleep and tired liver. |

There are products that can lighten the circles under the eyes yes, but what Ive found works is eliminating gluten, sugar/sugar substitutes, soy, peanuts, dairy, eggs and corn. I follow the JJ Virgin Diet and use her protein shakes for breakfast.
Whenever I backslide and eat one of those foods, the circles come back.
Massage can help to increase the circulation to the area and flush out the toxins too. If you google "Tanaka Massage" it will show you.
Good luck! |

I heard that taking vitamin K2 helps. |

fawnie, have you tried strengthening your digestive system to cope with those foods? Eliminating what ails us is great, and greater still is to have enough enzymes and robust gastric juices and liver /gall bladder etc to cope with whatever..
I used to have so much trouble digesting a lot of stuff, now I take Udo's enzymes each morning and find my digestive system works completely differently and so much more efficiently.
Having said that... as I understand it, the gluten molecule is simply too big to be digested well by humans, as it stands today with wheat being the over treated product that it is.. so I avoid gluten anyhow, because it's so sticky in the system.
A liver cleanse is a great eye - area brightener. |

Please, people, do not give up eggs for eye circles. It contains choline, the best substance you can take for protection of your brain. |

So true. Good sleep, red beets for liver, and lemon water (2 glasses) first thing in the morning work the best. Topicals IMO do not work. Retin A may lighten the undereye area a bit though. |

I am truly sensitive to eggs (always have been) so I get my nutrition from other sources like wild salmon, broccoli and brussels sprouts. Always a workaround, as DragoN says!
Its made a big difference to eliminate certain trigger foods in my general health but each person has to discover for her/himself what those foods are. And, it does take time to see results, as with anything. Milk thistle is a good detoxifier too.
Topical ingredients like chrysin and vitamin K DO work! |

With all due respect, but neither salmon, nor broccoli , nor brussels sprouts give a person an adequate amount of choline. In fact, you have to eat 26 cups of raw broccoli every day to get the necessary amount of choline.
Everyone chooses to eliminate whatever they want from their diet, but giving people advice to get rid of a very important nutrient should come with a caution. What if a person who reads your advice to give up eggs is a pregnant woman, and eggs are essential during pregnancy. This is just one example.
It is one thing to say that Vit K works for eye circles (what harm if it does not?), it is a totally different case when let's say a pregnant woman eliminates eggs from her diet and then has a child with a birth defect. There are other risks associated with choline deficiency in humans. |
