Have been on the rampage for a crow's feet buster for years - too chicken to resort to botox!
In the AM, skin around eyes smooth - as the day goes on, AAAHHH! - Huge lines emanating from the corners of my eyes Shock Would seem to suggest dehydration? Have to keep applying eye cream throughout the day, which leads to buildup and unsightly sloughing-off of product!
Using Aveda Tourmaline eye cream AM and Estee Lauders Advanced Night Repair eye stuff PM.
Can anyone out there suggest a miracle treatment?
Oh, I have heard Gatineau do an Intensive Eye serum with dehydrated collagen bits that actually plump out with moisture on the skin - sounds hopeful!??

I can highly recommend Okusil by Janson-Beckett with 10% Argireline to help with your crows feet. I have been using it since July and my eye area is much firmer and more youthful looking. Okusil is designed for all issue with the eye area: fine lines and wrinkles, firmness, dark circles and puffiness. I use Okusil over Janson-Beckett's Mineral Prep.

You can read more about Okusil by doing a search on EDS.

Hi Shivvie
Ive tried all of Gatineau's eye creams, including the Intensive Serum and the Melatogenine and they didnt do me much good. Im lucky not to have crows feet, am 38 but I do have fine lines. The melatogenine may help your eyes but dont go for the gel with the little pods in, its crap. Try getting the Melatogenine from QVC and you can try it and if you dont see any results in 3 weeks send it back. Elemis have just launched a pro collagen eye product, and its £65 but it sold out in a few minutes. Again with QVC at least you can try it first and get your money back if you arent happy. Ive tried lots of eye creams, the Estee lauder one you use, Gatineau, Karin Herzog,Liz Earle, Ive lost count. At the moment Im using Okusil from Janson Beckett. Ive only been using it 3 weeks and Im not sure what the results are really cause I seem to have had a really bad two weeks sleep wise so its a viscious circle. I am drinking lots more water, which sounds like may benefit you. Check out the Melatogenine, it might be good for you. if not you can strike it off the list and move to the next one but if you get from QVc, you've only lost your postage

Thankyou Winnie, will check out the okusil serum - does it actually plump out the crow's feet? and will i need to apply a moisturiser/hydrator on top?
Cindi - thanks for info - glad i got your feedback on the Gatineau intensive eye serum before wasting money! Hey, does this mean i'm changing the habits of a life time? Laughing
Will also check out the melatogenine and the elemis - but 65 pounds (cant find pound sign on keyboard!)for an eye cream - it would have to be pretty amazing Exclamation
I probably should drink more water to counteract the red wine i drink - i try, but then get fed up with having to go to the loo every 5 mins.
Hope you get more sleep this week Smile

Hi Shivvie, I know the £65 is high, thats why its good to try via QVC. But if it works.... I'd use it and send it back anyway and try and get off ebay or something. It took me along to give Gatineau the the Spanish Archer, I've always gone back to them over the past 5 years but I think this is it now. A good product Im using at the moment is the Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Mask. I have it by the side of my bed, set the alarm 10 minutes earlier and when it goes off, put a good layer under each eye and then drift back off for 10 minutes. When I wake up - its all sunk in Shock Im shocked everytime. I didnt know you could be so dehydrated under the eyes.

The 10% Argireline in Okusil blocks the nerve signals that control the contraction of facial muscles. This produces a reduction in both the depth and size of wrinkles and fine lines. The Collagen,DMAE,Elastin,Soy are nourishing to the eye area. Hyloronic Acid really does help plump the the tissue making the crows feet less visable.

I don't need a moisturizer over Okusil. If you are very dry in that area it is fine to moisturize over Okusil.

Hi there! Very Happy I would highly recommend a good, stable vitamin C treatment for the eyes ( I use Vivier serum 20 start low on the scale!) and an argirelene-based treatment overtop. I've used Vivier TMR with success and have recently started using the AlphaDerma CE which has the 10% standard concentration of argirelene. Argirelene is great for those expression lines around the eyes - just be patient - it takes a few weeks to see the change...but it is worth it!

Water, water, water!!! I have found with many fine lines that they are due to dehydration and it is amazing what enough water will do for you skin...and the rest of you.

I use Relax-A-Line (cellularskinrx.com) for crows'feet, forehead lines and frown lines. It has the 10% acetyl hexapeptide (argeriline) in it but in serum form (hyaluronic acid base). Some prefer the serum because it is not greasy but others find acetyl hexapeptide a tad drying and will put moisturizer on top of it. Many here use it so I'm sure you will get lot's of input.

I'm not sure but it DOES sound like these could be dehydration lines shivvie. Instead of layering on eye cream during the day, can you try using a thicker eye cream in the morning and using a facial spritz during the day instead? Also, make sure you drink plenty of water, particularly if you are in air-con a lot. I do find dehydration lines around my eyes if my water intake drops off and on top of that I'm in air-con a lot as well.

If that doesn't help then if I was in your shoes I'd go with a vitamin C serum and also an argireline product. Of course, sunblock during the day too Smile

Thanks guys for all the great suggestions!! Have already started 'slapping on' the vit C serum around crow's feet area and will make a decision re a product with argireline - i'm thinking Relax-a-line or Okusil. But i suppose the Relaxaline might be good right now as i presume i can use it on eye area and forehead - though i have been a bit nervous of relaxing muscles that really dont want relaxing (seepage into surrounding tissues!) and ending up with a face that is totally relaxed and totally weird Shock !

Hi betterat40, do you get satisfactory results with Relax-A-Line, does it get rid of fine lines....

I have been using Relax-A-Line for almost a year now...I only have to use about every three days to maintain my results. It works really well on crow's feet and it is good for forehead lines and frown creases, too. But I think those muscles are stronger so I don't feel the result has been as dramatic in those areas. I do not use it all over my face but I think Loopy Lori does and loves the results. I'm a bit afraid of relaxing my cheeks - I tend to have a bit of a fold between nose and mouth...Genetics, sigh. As for fine lines, I think the hyaluronic acid in it would help since it is a super-humectant but Retin-A/Matrixyl/Vitamin C would do better on fine lines. Fine lines are usually caused by collagen breakdown/sun damage/dehydration. Relax-A-Line is for lines caused by muscle movement.

Hi
I only use it on my forehead, crows feet and sometimes on mouth to nose lines now. It has done wonders on forehead and crows feet but really is wasted anywhere else. I did used to use it on whole face but now I don't bother. It is a fantastic product probably my favourite ever and it is cheap.

Also Winnie might not reply for a week or so. She has to go away due to a family death. She asked me to let people know if they asked her a question etc. So please dont think she is ignoring you which she would never do.
