Sylvia, have you seen the new Luxe brush heads from Clarsonic? They are fluffy and super soft. |

Hey everyone! Long time lurker here, finally decided to get an account
I was lucky enough to be chosen to test out the luna mini at a 75% discount through bzzagent. I payed $39 for it. I've had it for about two weeks now and it's AMAZING, I can see my skin getting Photoshop perfect with continued use. the first day it's a great massage but no real visible improvement. The second day my current breakout got worse. Almost cystic. I checked people's reviews and it's pretty common to purge before things get better so I soldiered on but decided to get a cleanser with salicylic acid, I got alba botanica's acnedot. It has 2% salicylic acid as an active ingredient which is even more than my spot treatment, keihl's blue ointment (which has 1.5%). I washed my face with that on day two and saw immediate improvement by the morning of day three. Not sure if it was the face wash or the luna mini but my face cleared right up. It's currently the smoothest smooth it's ever been. I can't put it into words. I know the mini is to credit for at the very least the smoothness, softness, and overall glow in my skin. It really is the deepest pore cleanse I've ever had. Even my scars are fading. When I do wear makeup (which isn't often) it melts on my face like butter. Then I use the luna mini to scrub it right out of my pores and believe me, it gets it out every time. I check with my toner.
Oh that's another thing. When I started I would check with toner and a cotton ball to see how clean my face was. The first day my cotton ball still looked dirty. The second day less dirty. The third day it came away almost perfectly clean. I guess my skin was purging for those first two days even after I'd washed it. Amazing.
A bit of background on me, I'm a 22 yr old black female. Quite young, I know, but I still have horribly acne prone skin. I have since I hit puberty so I've tried quite a few things on the market. I don't have signs of aging yet but I'm still very wary of my skin aging as I'm outside a lot for work so I take very good care of my skin.
My current regimen is this: I wash my face with the acnedot cleanser, use the luna mini as directed, use Lumene's moisturizing toner, and use Ambi even and clear spf 30 moisturizer. At night time I add on darkmoon's simple vitamin c serum before the moisturizer.
I would recommend the luna mini for anyone with younger skin and the full sized one for more mature skin as you can massage your serums in with it. I plan on graduating to the full size luna in 10 years(I believe I read in my luna packaing that if you register your luna mini you get a 50% discount when you buy another luna product within 10 yrs of registering) when my luna mini guarantee runs out.
Have a great day!
PS. I want to update my night time routine with a deep moisturizer and eye cream. The sun never forgives and it never forgets. Any recommendations? I'd be much obliged. |

CookieD,
much smoother skin, smaller/cleaner pores, feels different to the touch, moisturizer lasts for the whole day; not sure how to describe it. I had no visible effect from Clarisonic, and I had used Foreo on/off for about a week.

Just wanted to mention that I have a combination, thick, very reactive skin, with some facial hair; it seems that it helps to remove dead surface skin, so I had a mild skin detox and a few ingrown hair I had are gone.
My mom has a normal but very dry skin, and the hope is that Foreo will help with the outer dry crust, so her skin will be able to absorb the serum/moisturizer. |

I have a Blue Luna (for combo skin) and find it incomparably better then Clarisonic (which never had any tangible effect on my skin) at cleaning, and am seeing some anti-aging results - the horizontal wrinkle on the chin is gone, the dreaded "11" are softer; I am not sure if it is due to the anti-aging mode or simply due to the fact that after removing the surface dead skin the products finally getting absorbed and thus are active.
Just wanted to mention that I can see my skin reacts immediately to it - it gets pink from both Cleansing and Anti-aging modes.

Bethany, if you look at the chart
posted earlier below you will see there are a few difference other then the anti-age. The mini only has 2 speeds vs 8 and for whatever reason they say it is not safe to use around the eyes. The battery life is less and it doesn't have intelligent memory function but I think those are probably less important.

I just placed an order for Pink Luna - Sensitive/Normal skin.
The discount code that was provided on page one did not work for me. I found another discount code that did work - 6ZFXWH. The total cost came to $129.35. |

Have to mention that I got 2 compliments on my skin - the only thing that I do different is Foreo (and that was after a 10 hour work day...).
I ordered another one (Pink for sensitive/normal skin) as Holiday Gift for a relative (hopefully it arrives in time).

I've also got the white one, and it's been fantastic being able to feel a good deep clean again after not being able to use a clarisonic for so long because it gave me instant redness, blotchiness etc even with the sensitive brush head. It's a pricey gadget (I'm such a gadget lover it's almost embarrassing) but it feels rad, futuristic. My skin is smoother textured now, but I hadn't been washing off makeup first, I was doing it all at once, I'll try that tomorrow and see if I get results.
Ya know, I was somewhat attributing my more even skin tone to topicals I've recently been testing out (ASG) but it could also be due to just having cleaner skin!? I guess it's possible that might be the case, getting more of the crap off my skin at the end of day (I only use it at night, I don't wash in am except with a bit of water) makes it less irritated? I've been using it for a while now though but effects could be cumulative and maybe I'm just noticing a change now? Is that possible? Either way, I like this little dude!
One more thing- after working 9 hours straight and having woken up for work at 5am with no touch ups beyond swiping on lipgloss and blotting my tzone with a napkin a friend said this over drinks: "you look great! Refreshed! Pretty!"
I have no idea exactly what's changed but this reinforced that something seems to be different, I'm looking less tired after a long day of desk work in a stagnant air environment. |

I don't own the Foreo - but I did buy this little silicon cleansing pad some time ago in Hong Kong.
http://allaboutrandoms.wordpress.com/2012/04/15/review-sasatinnie-facial-cleansing-brush/
It's the best facial cleanser that I've used - obviously, it's not an electrical device - but it's very effective. Personally, I think the whole sonic thing is overblown. Sonic just means it vibrates, nothing more.
So if you don't want to fork out allot of money for the Foreo, you might want to consider this because I think it was only a couple of dollars. |
