Question for the skincare boffins: What are your opinions? Worthy or not?
I just bought a few samples off ebay from a skincare line called OHUI claiming to use recombinant human stem cells, but what does that really mean?
I received a tiny sample of Lifeline: are they the only company producing a skincare product using embryonic skin cells?
Lastly I bought some sheep placenta capsules, should I swallow them or smear the contents on my face?
Yeah, yeah, the voice of desperation!
Putting aside the ethics, is this technology just more snake oil? |

The only thing I know of placenta products is the Japanese line DHC - a lot of their face creams use placenta in them and I stopped buying most of their items because that ingredient kind of grossed me out and not too sure why? I need that anyways.
DHC does not mention where the placenta comes from.
Also I see at quite a few hair stores a friend shops at they have been selling haircare for african american mostly and advertise many products contain placenta protein.
-like in hair conditioner and stuff.
I have no idea if the stem cell or placenta stuff is good or not. |
