I've been using retin a for a couple of months now. My skin is dry to start with. Typically foamy, soapy type cleansers dry me out worse.
As cleanser I've always just used makeup remover towelettes, followed by Cetaphil.
I have acne and Melasma.
I use LRP SPF 50 sunscreen daily and throughout the day I reapply frequently with mineral fusion SPF powder, however, I'm about to order the Colorscience SPF 50 powder to try.
The Cetaphil doesn't seem to be quite enough for me. I tried some Olay night cream. It turned my face pink and stings.
What are your recommendations for cleanser and moisturizer?
Am I doing okay as far as sunscreen is concerned?
Also, I'm looking for a different tinted moisturizer to try. The LRP tinted is a bit dark on me but the LRP untinted leaves me too white. A friend recommended Revision Intellishade SPF 45. I notice it has Octinoxate and Octisalate in it as part of the sunblock. Those ingredients don't play well with mineral powders do they?
Thanks:) |

I find that CeraVe moisturizer helps me a lot with the dryness. It is very cheap to buy As for the tinted moisturizer or tinted sunprotection I like the a lot the Paula's Choice barely there sheer mate tint SPF 30. |

Although Paula's Choice sun protection products are very elegant they do not provide enough protection as most of them very low percentage of zinc oxide (only 5% in the tinted moisturizer:(). |

You can try a very gentle Epionce Milky cleanser.
LRP suncreens a very good in terms of sun protection. They protect against both UVA and UVB rays and the ingredients are very stable.
I love Intellishade:) You can put mineral powder on top without any problems. |
