Hi to all, I am new so please excuse me if I make any oops!!! I just called on a "epiclear" free sample. Well.. not really free w/a $9.95 s&h cost!! Geesh.. I am 46 and have fought acne all my teenage and adult years. Today my skin is scarred but not to a real bad degree. It is blotchy, red and not smooth and several breakouts w/lg. pores and a nose of many bl. heads Crying or Very sad . I would love to beable to look ok wo/foundation. Is there anything out there that will actually help w/the scarring and blochy patches and make my skin more smooth and radiant? It is excessivly oily!!! yet very dry in certain areas. I have been using mostly Paulas Choice products but haven't noticed a big difference. I have no insurance so can't afford a skin Dr.. I have little income while waiting for a SSD decision for my disabilities. I am really depressed w/my skin and need and want to feel better about myself. Can anyone help me? I'd welcome and appreciate any help. Slamina Question jkey59@msn.com

Hi slamina,
I'm new to this forum also and let me assure you that everyone is really smart, nice and helpful. You should also know that you are not alone. There are quite a few of us who are still having a battle with "teenage" acne and the marks it has left. I don't know anything about Epiclear, I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. When you have the opportunity and resources to visit a doctor, I think that is your best bet. I know there are lots of opinions about Retin-A, but I have found Retin-A Micro to be a very helpful medicine. It is covered by insurance if it is for acne (not for wrinkles). I'm sure there are lots of people who will answer your call for suggestions. Take care, joani

Try Murad, I thinks it the problem kit or acne/oily . I used just the cleanser and skin perfecting lotion daily and the exfoliation treatment 2x week b/c i have very sensitive skin. It did clear my moderate acne in about 3 weeks.

I still use the skin perfecting lotion for occasional breakout.

Vit C serum did wonders for making my skin glow and decleor's ylang ylang really helps with the oilies. Also be sure you are using sunscreen everyday

I think a vitamin C serum and something with AHAs (or a serum with C and E in it but I think only Skinceuticals makes one of those) would be helpful.

I have also heard great things about Decleor Ylang Ylang here (which DollyPorter suggested to you) so I would suggest that you do a search for that on the forum and read through the past experiences of people who have used it. Decleor is also usually very good with samples so you should be able to get one before committing.

GEESH!! I didn't expect such caring replies and so many. Thanks to all who answered. I took some of each into account for my next trip to the store or doctor. I'm glad you all have found something to at least maintain your skin. It is so true that if you look good you will feel better. Thanks again
