hi all,
i went to an esthetician for a facial for the first time in a long while. the extractions were really painful. i now have sever pinhead sized broken capillaries. has anyone had this happen to them? is there any home care things i can do to keep them from being permanent? feeling very bummed about this right now.
thanks!

I don't know this from my own personal experience, but Rutin is supposed to help repair torn capillaries in the body...and it was for this purpose that it was recommended by my vet that I give it to my kitty years ago when he got a condition where lymphatic vessels leaked fluid into his chest. Religious supplementation with this IMO is why all the negative prognosis we got never came to be and he never had another episode of leakage. It would appear as if the vessels got repaired hence the reason we didn't have to go back to get his chest tapped a few weeks later as was expected.

Rutin also happens to be a great antioxidant so you would have more to gain from taking it than just fixing broken capillaries. The supplement can be found in health stores usually in 500mg tablets.

Some people seem to think of it as being effective as an ingredient in a topical product but I personally would think it would be more effective working from the inside as a supplement you take internally.

Here's some info on it:

My esthetician recommended Lysine for sensitive skin/rosacea but I am going to give Rutin a try as well. Thanks for the tip!
