What is your general impression of drugstore body washes--namely Dove, Olay, or Aveeno?

Overall, do you like or dislike them?

Why or why not?

Veronica - you seem to do a lot of surveying of product use and opinions. Are you a blogger or something?

No, I'm not a beauty blogger.

First, I naturally have a curious personality. Second, I'm trying to optimize my overall appearance & health. Right now, I'm crafting a beauty regimen/routine. Hence, the questions.

I have liked Tone body wash best for my skin.

however..lately I'm embracing bar soap again. There are some really great hand crafted bars out there. I'm seeing more and more of them in specialty bath shops. Of all things..a goat soap was the most amazing creamy lather I ever experienced.

I am pretty lazy about my body care. I still like Aveda body washes. I am using Jurlique now because it was free from EDS and that smells fabulous. I also have a Walgreens brand baby wash that is nice and natural.

I do get drugstore brands and learned what is worth buying.
Aveeno, Dial in the water coconut scent. I also get an odd time, Victoria Secret, Crabtree & Evelyn, Clarins, Clarins for men (hair & body), Khiel's, my perfume of choice shower gel. I wouldn't mind trying Darphin shower gel.

I think the higher end is better because it rinses off a lot better. My husband loves Clarins hair & body wash and so do I.

I don't like them. The smell is not good enough. Actually I don't use any washes in most of times.

I have sensitive skin so I can't use a lot of high detergent (sulfates) fragranced washes.

I usually use Baby wash - unscented and milder detergents for body in the shower. I also like DermaA cleanser with oil. It is pricey but does clean well. This is great for removing water resistance sunscreen in the summer. Cleans but does not strip.

I only like Dove body washes. It has a nice smell, not sticky and my skin feels "silky" after each bath...

I really miss the Dove liquid hand soaps. It was moisturizing, had that nice Dove smell and was reasonable cost.

I use Trader Joe's body washes. Love the citrus one. They also have a tea tree one but I am not a fan of the smell of tea tree oil. Their products seem to be all natural yet inexpesive. Love Trader Joe's for everything!

Hi Autumn1995. I am glad that you like Dove brand too because I find that they are not only moisturizing on the skin but it is really reasonably priced too....
