Is the glycolic cleanser more for mature skin? I'm also tempted to try Dermalogica's Special Cleansing Gel but lots of people seem to have gotten good results from MDF's cleanser. Does the MDF cleanser smell ok?

I haven't tried the MDF cleanser but unless you have really oily skin I would not recommend Special Cleansing Gel. I found it really dried out my skin.

Hi!
I started out using the MDF cleanser a few years ago and it cleared my combination/prone to breakout skin and improved the overall appearance to boot! The only thing I would say is use it once every day to start with dropping to every other day if you experience any dryness or irritation, your skin will gradually adjust, then you can increase over a period of time to using it twice a day every day.
Very Happy

I really like it!

PS - yes it smells fine - very mild.

I don't think it's only for mature skin. Glycolic Acid is an exfoliant and as long as you don't have overly sensitive skin and don't overdo it you should be fine with it. I have certainly used it in the past and it's worked very well for me. It does smell rather bland, nothing strong or distinguishable, but then I like my skincare nicely fragranced Smile Bottom line is that even though the packaging and texture is rather, well, boring - it *is* a very good cleanser.

I received this range 2 weeks ago exactly. And i started to use the glycolic acid cleanser straight away, then i would correct, hydrate then protect. But after a few days my skin felt a bit stingy and was a bit red. I have now reduced using the glycolic acid cleanser to every other day. I also purchased the non-glycolic cleanser so in the mean time i use this one. I have found the hydrating cream excellent. My skin feels really good. Another reason for not using the glucolic acid one every day is cause i go away in 2 weeks and didn't want to use to much glycolic acid cleanser to much before hitting the sun. I also tend to use the corrector cream every 2 days.
I bought the hydrating mask and have used this every 3 days i leave it on for 30 mins Then use the hydrating cream afterwards. The effect on my skin is brilliant. When i return from holiday i will use the glycolic acid more frequently. Whilst away i will not be taking the non glycolic acid cleanser with me.
I would fully reccommend this range but then again it is the only one that i have tried. Oh and i tend to have dryskin. But not any more.

Glycolic cleanser is for all skin types. It is a great non-mechanical type exfoliator. Try it unless you have super sensitive skin.
