I recently started with Retin-A, and my skin has started to get a little sensitive to my normal products; my moisturizer now stings for a minute after I put it on, as does sunscreen - not a good thing! I'll have to buy a hat or stop going outside.
Anyway, I was able to set things right with our very own Deb Crowley's Cucumber Calm serum:
I am really delighted with this stuff! I've only used it twice so I can't speak to long term benefits yet, but I have to say it lives up to its name - CALM. There is no sting when I apply it, just a cool, refreshing "aaaaaaahhhhhh" feeling. And the smell! Yummy! It smells like you pulled a fresh cucumber off the vine and cut into it - wonderfully fresh and cucumber-y. A wonderful pick me up!
I think it would be good for all skins, it's not greasy at all and is absorbed quickly, leaving the skin feeling soft and clean.
Highly recommend this serum, especially for those with sensitive skin, or for anyone who loves the smell of fresh cucumbers. If you're on Retin-A and have the same sensitivity issues you should try this!

I took a look. Pricing is reasonable at >$35.00 for a one ounce bottle.
Most likely it is the aloe vera near the beginning of the ingredient list. PSF products (sold at EDS) have this ingredient near the top of the list also.
Green tea is also another calm ingredient that works well for me and others. Near the bottom of the list here. I do like CF Replenix serum with green tea and caffeine. |

I tried it, too, and despite the very simple ingredient list, I had great results with my skin! I was very happy with it.
The only issue I have is that I am mildly allergic to one of the preservatives that's used in the aloe; this is a common problem I have with a majority of aloe products out there. My face turns temporarily red on application. |
