Hi guys,
I'm a 32 year old male and have upped my intake of soy in the past 3 months to avoid dairy and meat.
However, what I've also noticed is that in the last 3 months, my hair has become thinner in an area on my head. I've read up on the link between soy and hair loss and I've found conflictions.
One person says soy was THE reason why their hair was falling out and stopping it made their hair grow back, other sources saying soy helps stop hair loss.
It could of course be that my hair thinning is down to hereditary factors but I really want to know if it's down to soy.
Does anyone else have any opinion on this? Thanks in advance  |

You might try to get your protein intake from another source. I know when I had low protein intake my hair fell out.
Also I dont think men should eat so much soy. I think there is more info on the Earthsave site on why we shouldn't be just eating soy for protein but for you I'ld be concerned about the phyto estrogens.
Vega proteins was created by a vegan athlete so you might check that out. Other sources are hemp, pumpkin, brown rice and pea. |
