I have mixed several batches of vitamin c serum using the simplest recipes. The only ingredients are distilled water, pure AA crystals from Trader Joes (10-20%), and NOW vegetable glycerin.
Whenever I use this on my face or body it leaves a sticky residue. It seems like a lot of the C is not penetrating. Even without the glycerin I get a film on my skin
I do get nice effects from it but the residue makes it a hassle and my face looks tacky until I wash it off. Is there a solution to make it like a more professional product? |

I agree, mine (just Vit C and water) is sticky and made my bedding horrible yellow.
So I wrote to Owndoc and asked whether 30 minutes on the skin would be adequate, rinsing off afterwards. Martina answered that I could.
I don't know if I'll get the full results, but I certainly beats a sticky, yellow bed!
I'm still not happy and wish I could afford Environ or something similar, as Dr Fernandez, the needling expert, strongly advises vit A and C use. |

| Sometimes food grade vitamin C has extra additives. Im not familiar with the vit C from Trader Joes. I only use skin quality vitamin C, from Bulkactives, Lotioncrafters, etc. When I mix one of these with water, it soaks right in and I don't notice anything sticky. |
