I have been using Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser in bisque, which I like, though doesn't really seem special enough to warrant the price tag. Thought I would try some others. Got some Skin 79 CC cream (pink and gold) but found it left me looking pale and grey with people asking if was ill! Am looking at Lancome's teint visionnaire or teint miracle. Any tell me how these compare to the Laura Mercier or recommend something better please?

I hear you on the LM TM. It doesnt really DO much! And the Asian BB/CC creams all have that weird pink/grey undertone that they like for offsetting the yellow tones of their skin I think.

I like to play up the golden tone of my skin and I have to wear a decent SS so heres my solution: I wear my Uriage Ss then I buff on glominerals pressed base in "Honey Fair". Buff buff buff til its only color remaining (no powdery look) and press my hands into it to meld it with my SS. I can use a smaller brush to go over any areas that need concealing like around the nose, in the corners of the eyes, etc and buff again.

The beauty of it is that I can reapply the glominerals w/o it getting caky and it replenishes the sun protection since its a zinc oxide powder.

I always get compliments with this since it has a slight glow to it (has mica) and its a warm color that makes me look sun-kissed without the harmful UVR.

I tried a gigazillion other foundations, BB, CC and TMs and none of them work over my SS, so I just use the MMU now.

That's interesting, thanks. Have used mineral powders in past (Jane Iredle, Bare escentuals mainly) found they didn't look that natural. Is glow minerals different?

Hi pips. I dont know if glominerals is that much different in formula than other mineral makeups but it seems to work better for me. The trick for me was to find the right SHADE: otherwise MMU looks too chalky. I actually went a shade darker than I usually wear (much to the horror of the SA who kept telling me how wrong it would be!) and it solved the chalkiness factor for me without looking too dark really.

And then pressing it into the SS with my hands seems to take off the powdery look.

LucyMinerals has another nice MMU powder but its a loose powder and I hate the mess loose powders make.

I like Paula's Choice tinted moisturizer with spf 30. It has physical filters only. Sample sizes are available.

I top it with mineral makeup. I use a large fluffy brush to brush on a sheer layer.

Are there any uk stockists of glo minerals does anyone know? At £30 a pop you don't want to get the colour wrong! I wear golden glow by Jane IredAle but though it's the best match out of the range it is slightly too yellows but only a touch. Would golden medium in GM be the closest?

Pips, glo is one you really need to try on in person. Golden Medium for me was VERY DARK and orange looking. You really cant go by the colors on the monitor and have to try the colors on. Once you find your shade you can usually find them on Amazon, evilbay or online discount places like that.

The Stila tinted moisturizer is more like a BB cream, really good coverage and choice in colors that are neutral to warm.

I want to visit a spa that sell Jane Iradale BB cream. I'm NC10 and I hope to find a match. My concern is that my face look darker then my neck. I need to cover my face to even it out, sometimes I don't.

Can anyone tell me if they BB1 in Jane Iradale would look grey on me?
