Just wondering what everyone's favorite sunscreen is these days? Anything new out? |

I am currently liking Paula's Choice Resist Spf 30. Zinc oxide and lightly tinted.

I also have La Roche Posay Hydraphase UV 30 (Canadian). This is more moisturizing and I will wear in the winter. |

Paula's Choice Resist Super-Light Wrinkle Defense SPF 30 sunblock is super drying. I have combination skin & it is so dry that I can't wear it even in summer when humidity is high. And after wearing if for a couple of hours it made my skin uncomfortable tight.
Also, the tint does not work to your advantage if your skin is porcelain.
EltaMD Physical SPF 41 is much better, IMO.

My skin: Fair, 50 years old and easily irritated.
Taken care of and treated gently.
I've been using Elta MD UV Shield Broad-Spectrum SPF45.
Very happy with it.
Lightweight, no white cast, no breakouts, no scent, no irritation |

I am loving ASDM of Beverly Hills SPF 35 sunscreen for the face. It is lightly tinted and no greasy after glow. I was loving Burnout the Kids formula previously but apparently they have reformulated it because it is like a grease slick on my face now. |

I like to mix up my suncreens because it's always nice to try something new, however, I have three that I always keep stocked up on:
1).Ducray Melascreen SPF 50
2). Skinceuticals Ultra Facial Defense spf 50
3). Replenix Sheer Physical Sunscreen SPF 50 |

Hi RussianSunshine, does the EltaMD have expiry dates printed on them? TIA. |

What is the % of zinc oxide in the ASDM sunscreen? Can't seem to find it online. I hate when companies fail to give you the percentage. I would never buy one that does not. http://www.asdmbeverlyhills.com/Sunscreen-sunblock-Tinted-UV-Physical-broad-spectrum-SPF-35_p_120.html |

This summer I tried, and am loving, SkinCeuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50. I have fair, sensitive, combination skin that easily clogs and this one is working great for me so far. It has a slight tint, so no white cast, and feels weightless on. |

Pandax12, I believe the zinc oxide content on ADSM is 10%. |

CoTZ for Face. Physical, no white cast, no shine. If you're sensitive to silicones, steer clear. |

My favorite is Shiseido's Urban Environment cream, spf 40. It's very sweat/water resistant which is exactly what I need during hot, humid summers. Plus it doesn't clog nor irritate my skin.
Like most tenacious, Japanese sunscreens an oil-based pre-cleanser is a must. I use HABA's. |

I always like to try something new, but the basic I would always keep is Skinceuticals Sheer Physical UV Defense SPF50. It goes on really light and absorbs quickly and almost no white residue. |

Mine is Monsia's Intense Moisturizing Day Cream - with SPF 15, Hyaluronic Acid & Shea Butter, I found that a higher SPF just made my skin too greasy. |

For others like me who have never heard of QV, here's a link I found on it.
http://www.egopharm.com/qv-face-moisturising-day-cream/

Aqua (Water), Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Glycerin, PEG -100 Stearate (and) Glyceryl Stearate, Zinc Oxide (Nano), Isopropyl Palmitate, Petrolatum, Cetyl Alcohol, Paraffinum Liquidum, citric acid, methylene bis-benzotriazolyl Tetramethylbutylphenol, Butylene Glycol, Dimethicone, Polymethylsilsesquioxane,
Methylparaben, Xanthan Gum, PEG-4 Laurate, Propylparaben, Decyl Glucoside,
Disodium EDTA, Propylene Glycol, Dichlorobenzyl Alcohol, BHT, Iodopropynyl

It's helpful to include this info in your postings when mentioning new products. |

One more thing on QV...looks like it is only sold in Australia, several Asian countries and UK. Not in US or Canada.
I could not find a price. |

I used to love Burn Out for kids but then they changed the formula and it was to greasy for me. They now have a formula in a jar instead of a tube and it is Burn Out for face and body. I really like it -not greasy and leaves no white cast. It is spf 30 and I think it is reasonably priced. |

I found the old Burnout to be good, until you went in the water, then it looked like you had a white film on. I'm fair and it showed up on me.
Sunscreen in jars with fingers going into it just doesn't seem sanitary to me. But I suppose one could transfer it to an airless pump. Have you gone swimming with it, does it leave a white film? |

I found this site a trifle confusing but I managed to find the price Shasta Girl - you actually have to pretend to buy something before the price becomes visible. What I buy is Monsia Advanced Skin Renewal System. What I liked about their website was the fact that you can see where in the world they sell to, you can choose where you want to buy from and that particular currency pops up - easy peasy! |

No I have not gone swimming in it so can't tell you if it turns white or not.
