White wolf, so happy you recieved yours . So envious of your surgery, mine keeps getting postponed because of sinus complications ! I wish you a speedy, uneventful recovery. |

Surgery went well! I'm able to move about okay, sipping water lots for mouth dryness and still bleeding but it's slowing down. Super glad I had this done. My nose was huge before and the tip was getting longer. Glad it was part medical too for insurance to pay some of it.
rmc7 - I hope you can get yours done sooner than later. What sinus complications? If you don't mind me asking.
lapatria100 - good luck with your subcision. Let us know how it goes.
I tested my Derminator on scars on my arm tonight since I'm housebound awhile. I love it! So easy to use. Just read on their website they will no longer sell to the U.S. because of USPS issues. Can't say I blame them. Lots of Etsy & Ebay sellers have had issues too. |

I had to have a tooth removed from my right sinus that was growing in a fungus ball. Then when that was cleared and we were set to go for the surgery, my surgeon has brain cancer and I am now with a new surgeon. I developed another infection that has tunneled through my gum and everything is postponed until that is cleared, and the bone that is infected in my sinus cavity is debreaded and implanted with new bone, this specialist is talking at least another year, I want to scream. |

Damn! I'm glad I bought mine already. It looks like she's stopping sales of the Derminator to the US for the time being, but not the needles, I hope.
I've been waiting on a shipment from Hong Kong for about a month now. Tracking says it's in San Francisco, but I'm not that far from there and it's said that for 2 weeks...
Anyhow, I just did my smoker's lines. That went very, very quickly. I now have red stripes around my mouth. I think that the treatment I did last month with the nine-needle cartridge did some good, as the lines looked much less noticeable and I had to look closely to see a couple of them.
Can't wait to start seeing some good results! |

Things that may be helpful. If you wear glasses clean every part of your glasses that touch your face before you Derminate. I keep a small container of distilled water with alcohol in it and run my needle in it between areas to clear it of blood it makes it easier to clean when I'm entirely finished. Remember to run water over your face for 10-20 min to remove all traces of blood when you are finished as per Dr Setterfield he claims this allows more product to absorb. If you use LEDs after derminating remember to clean it first. If you Derminate your hairline wash your hair first. Don't forget to take internal vitamins, and do lymphphatic massage. If anyone has any special rituals they do please let me know. |

Run water over your face for 10 - 20 minutes? Do you mean seconds? |

No, in the Expanded Medical Edition of the CONCISE GUIDE TO DERMAL NEEDELING Dr Setterfield actually recommends showering for 10- 20 min after Needeling letting the water run over your face to remove all traces of blood. I read it again. I believe he means rolls larger than .5. |

It looks like there is a website we can submit the petition about USPS delays and misleading label stuff.
We need 89 more people to go! The link is posted on owndoc twitter. Check their website if you are interested. You can find it left bottom of the first page. |

Cool water, I understand what you are saying. I have stuck my face under my water spigot! Especially when I've showered first! LOL! I believe , and I can't find the passage right now but it's important to get the blood out of the holes so they don't " scab" they should be free of plugs. I'll look for it, I love his book. You can join his Facebook page also. |

Probably. As long as the bristles are really clean. I wonder if anyone has tried it? I've done it several days later when I start to peel. You know as long as my face is still numb I'm pretty darn brave, I slather on my retinA and VitaminC, heck why not a brush? LOL!! Oh, I meant to tell you , I did the single needle( finally) it went really well, lots of blood, first I did the entire lip with 1.5 then I did the 2 lines with the single needle. That DERMINATOR is amazing! |

OMG. I wonder if some of you were surgeons in a past life. I'm not joking. I want to try derma rolling so badly, especially with the Derminator, if they ever resume shipping to the US, but I just really can't deal with the blood aspect. I envy those of you who can.
I might have to start to investigate having the procedure done professionally although I feel it's safer to do it myself because of all the up to date info available now (how can they run water on my face for 20 minutes in a professional office, for example) and because I know my skin better than anyone else. |

That's the strange part Jasminerosey, in the Setterfield book, the running water is the docs home protocol! You are absolutely right n thinking how would this be done in a professional setting. I'm hoping someone who had the actual Dermapen proceedure will weigh in.
Jasminerosey , I hated dermarolling, I started derminating on a .25 setting and adjusted up as I became less fearful. I want to add , I used to faint when I had to have a simple blood test and I still can't look! But this doesn't bother me doing a section at a time and cleaning as I go. As soon as I wipe the ooze away it basically stops. And Derminator is very fast. I know you would would be scrupulous with sanitation ( I've read your posts) you have over 3/4 of the battle fought and won !! |

Though I received my Derminator 2 months ago. Not until last night did I do my first treatment.
The main thing triggered me doing so was that I could not stand the pain of using dermaroller.
Last night, I opened a new Dr. Roller to do my monthly "rolling"; just after 2 minutes of rolling, I felt the need of trying Derminator to see if it caused less pain than rolling as claimed by Owndoctor.
Like many said here, it was really a great device. I applied my DIY hyaluronic acid on my skin and then did the treatment.
I moved in a circular motion and found my skin turned red pretty quickly & had pinpricks of blood (it was what I wanted). If I used dermaroller, it would take me about 30 minutes to finish the treatment; for Dermintaor, it took me just 5-7 minutes.
I could feel the pain but much less than rolling.
The motor is very powerful; I had a Chinese made dermapen; gosh, it hardly penetrated the skin, even the seller replaced me with a new one, it did not do anything and I sent it to trash bin.
I am glad that I have this device. |

I know this thread is old, but can anyone tell me if this is the best do it yourself microneedler? I am looking for one that is medical grade and can do the job not only on the face but on the thighs and arms.
Anyone know? |

I have never used anything else, but from my reading, it is the best. You can get other at home micro needling pens but they are mostly cheaply made in China. Some people like those but I like the Derminator, and I trust them to stand behind their product.
You can also get an at-home dermapen but the price is outrageous, and the needles only go to .25mm. |

I have not heard anyone regret that they have bought this machine. I used a hand held roller , and a MyM auto pen, Derminator has left them both in the dust. Most of us who have this machine don't just like it, we Love it!! |

Your last post inspired me to derma needle too, rmc7. I'd buy the Derminator, but I'm in the US, so I'm think I'm going to purchase the .2 roller from dermal integrity, Dr. Setterfield's derma rolling clinic in Vitoria BC. and start that way. |
