Does anyone know where I can buy distilled water in the U.K, any shops? I can find deionised water that used for car batteries but understand that's not the same thing are there any alternatives, I bought some vit c powder off owndoc on her instructions it says use boiled water , does she mean boiled distilled water? I'm assuming so, also it has to be warm to mix the powder better.
The biggest problem I have is finding the water!! |

De-ionized water should not be used in place of distilled water -- it's chemically unstable and can be corrosive.
When owndoc says use boiled water, I think they mean regular boiled water. Boiling water a few minutes will kill microorganisms that might be in the water along with evaporating chlorine and such. Some solids, like minerals and salts, will be left behind. Not necessarily harmful, but it could react to your active in unpredictable ways.
If you need only a little distilled water, you can make your own easily. You know when you boil water in a pot with the lid on? -- the water droplets that collect in the underside of the lid is distilled water. To see how to make and collect this water in a sanitary way, just google "make distilled water at home". |

By "boiled water" I'm not so sure she means "boiled distilled water" but simply boiled water, but obviously the better the water quality the better the mixture you are making. |

I've found it in my local chemists next to my GPs, you should have a look there. |

Looks like many buy their distilled water online in the UK from companies such as this one: http://www.thedistilledwatercompany.com
I wonder if your local chemist could order it for you? |
