Girls have you experienced any facial changes a week or more before you get your period?
Sometimes I forget it is my period and when I realized that my period is back that's when I relate it to the bad skin. I get large pores, dehydrated and bloated face. Is that common? Do you also get facial changes before or during your period? |

Yes! I notice overall bloating (not just the face) and oilier skin around my period. It's probably hormones.
Drinking more green & white tea seems to help me with the water retention. I don't really know what could offset hormonal dry skin, though. |

I second pretty much everything Chlorophyll said.
Although I must also add...if you experience bloating in your face then it makes sense that it seems your pores are also enlarged at the same time. |

| I do not pay enough attention to notice other things, but I definitely get a few breakouts. Me and a girl friend would take extra skin supplements around that time to help with that. |

| Estrogen level drops drastically relative to progesterone and testosterone at that time in the cycle resulting in unflattering skin changes. |

| I hate to admit it but my face does change to a great extent from a couple days before my periods. What I hate most is the development of pimples under my lips. I have reletively fine skin with no pimples at atll. But they appear only during my periods and I can't stand them. Yet, I have not paid enough attention to the pores? |

Hi,
I have been going through the same thing, I get this itchy red bumps only on my face a week before my period. I went to the doctor's and they said it's roseacea. Wish I don't think it is! I hate seeing them, if Any one it's getting the same please let me know what you are using to clear them up. |

| My face is sensitive to hormonal changes too, great something to look forward too! My tone changes to reddish and irritated with more oily T-zone and enlarged pores. |
