Hello lovely EDS DIY-ers..

I'm a long-time lurker, and started making serums because of this site! (I've been tweaking the same B3 serum recipe for the last 2 years, haha...)

I'm hoping for a bit of advice on making a basic green tea serum, which I can't quite find in other discussions... and yes, I've read through the controversial green tea/vit C threads Smile

I'd like to make a light, hydrating serum with 90% ECGC powder, no oils.. in a similar vein to the Replenix CF creams sold by Dr. Bailey (without the $70 pricetag and all the silicones). I don't want vit-C/LAA in it (I'm very sensitive to AHA/lactic acid/citric acid -- it triggers my seb derm).

I know green tea needs a pH of 4..

I was hoping to have a simple recipe like this:
ECGC 90% - 5%
glycerin - 5%
HA - 1%
a bit of SKB & aloe
water
maybe polysorbate 20
maybe vit e
phenoxy for preservative
other antioxidants?
other thickeners?

A few questions...

1) How do you think could I keep the pH at 4?
2) Is there any possibility of mixing the green tea with B3?
3) Are there other interesting antioxidants that could work in a mix like this?

Thanks Smile

thanks, Pandax Smile

I came across that blog post a while ago.. I regularly make a B3 + NAG serum, and like the Funny Valentine blogger, it's also inspired by EDS's DragoN, but I am not sure if the pH is right. I have some strips, but they only go down to 5 (green tea needs to be in a medium of 4 pH).

I think I am going to email Skin Essential Actives, where I usually buy my stuff Smile
