I am going to order the Flash & Go for hair removal. Reading online, Silk'n is calling the technology HPL ("highly sophisticated Home Pulsed Light™ technology"-their gibberish not mine). How is this different than IPL? Or is it IPL? I'm going to test it on my arm to see if it does anything but remove hair. Any one else using it for anything besides hair removal? |

I just did the second session with mine - I get terrible ingrown hairs regardless of the method of removal
I have not noticed a difference on my bikini line yet (my main reason for getting it) but I have noticed a slight difference under my arms and my top lip - hopefully its not my imagination. |

What power setting are you currently using? Does it irritate your skin when you use it on your face? |

I'm thinking about getting the iluminage
TOUCH Permanent Hair Reduction System instead.
Powered by elos technology, iluminage TOUCH Permanent Hair Reduction System is the only FDA-cleared permanent hair removal technology for lasting results on all skin tones. Used by dermatologists around the world, it’s clinically proven to be effective on the widest range of hair colors, including blond, dark blond and red hair. The device is suitable for both men and women and is intended for permanent reduction in hair growth following an initial treatment regimen with or without maintenance. elos technology combines Intense Pulsed Light and Radio Frequency energies to deliver the permanent hair reduction results you want safely, quickly, painlessly and effectively.
System includes:
- Permanent Hair Reduction Device
- 120,000 quartz cartridge flashes
- Power cord
- User guide and quick reference guide
How to use: Turn on the device then select your elos level—low, medium or high. Glide the device over the selected treatment area. Use it on targeted areas once a week for seven treatments over a period of six weeks. Periodic touch-up treatments are suggested when needed. |
