Hello everyone....

I suddenly have SEVERAL new sun spots all over my face, even though I wear SPF 30 daily. I have been using a facewash with salyclic acid in it for a few months now,and when I researched it online, I found that it can thin your skin and cause photo sensitivity.

Also, about 2 weeks ago I began using rosehip seed oil at night, which is supposed to be the greatest thing ever. I researched this online and found that it ALSO increases sensitivity to the sun! What's ironic is I was using it to fade sunspots and it appeared to create more.

So...I'm wondering if any of you have noticed more sunspots when using either salylic acid or rosehip seed oil. Has anyone noticed thinning of skin with the SA?
I don't use any other exfoliants or actives at all,so there arent an other culprits.

THANK YOU for any feedback!

ps: I have pale, extremely prone-to-sun damage skin.

Are you reapplying SPF? I try to top it off with pressed powder foundation with SPF. If your SPF is part chemical it breaks down with sun exposure.

If your skin can tolerate it without clogs, I would use physical sunscreen but it makes you quite white.

INB, its more likely your sunscreen. Go to the Beautypedia to find one that will suit your skin care concerns. Theres lots of good recommendations there. Check the BEST rated ones. And good luck with that!
