This has intrigued me for some years, but I never pursued finding any. Now that it is "in" and available I intend to purchase the pure sap and use it in my DIY serums and add it to my favorite moisturizer.

I am interested to know if anyone has used it in diy skincare or has bought prepared skincare with a viable amount of this herb.

I've used it. I've used pure dragons blood as a mask on my face for a while. You can also drink it diluted but i never tried it out if fear. I never noticed anything helpful so I discontinued. I ordered through a company that said they get their sap from South America's Amazon rainforest which is where it should be coming from but the issue for me was the sap was not blood red but a dark maroon almost black color which was odd to me because my Doctor who has used it for wounds told me is has to be red as blood. So, I felt that maybe I did not receive a true product even though the company seemed legitimate etc. If you buy some pure dragons blood, please update me as to what color yours looks like. Perhaps it is only useful when you have open wounds/cuts abrasions. It is hard to come by dragon's blood I think most product do not contain true dragon's blood but just plain sap from the trees. That is just my opinion though.

I also used the pure sap on my face...it doesnt mix well with anything, when its drying it gets thin and crusty...i also didn't see any kind of improvement. All I can say is that it was kind of fun putting it on haha.
Its drying though so be careful!

Cant hurt to try btw, maybe itll work for you.
Just didnt for me.

Pokerlady and heyheymonster, sorry to hear that it didn't work you.

I have some questions for both/either of you.

How old are you(if you don't mind me asking) and what positive results were you hoping to get and how long did you use the dragon blood for?

Heyheymonster, I'm disappointed that it's drying and also that you it doesn't mix with anything.

I had hoped to mix it with a natural moisturizer (actually an ormus product) that i love and have used for years and also to use it in diy oil serums.

there must be a way to mix it, since it is in professional formulas and i've seen it in a line of natural serums (with other anti-aging oils) from an energy healer online (was hoping to make my own and not purchase from her) but they are most likely using more sophisticated apparatus then we would have access to.

i googled diy skincare with dragon's blood and discovered that it is soluble in water but not oil, so it needs to be added to the water phase of creams or mixed into oils with an emulsifier. or added to water as a spray.

So although no fancy equipment is needed to diy, it can't just be added to an oil serum or store/online purchased moisturizer.

What I was hoping to get out of dragons blood was improvement of my acne,
I'm 18 btw. So I cant give much on anti aging effects, but I did want dragons blood to work as an antiseptic. But like I said it didnt do much for me.

I often used it as a mask, I did too try and mix it with oil and it came out like...idk oil is kinda slick but this mix was sort of..like it caught and drug my fingers.

I think id be a good idea to use dragons blood with an emulsion..like a light cream. I don't think ive tried to mix dragons blood with cream if I can recall..just because I never have creams.

My suggestion maybe to mix the dragons blood with water or water base mix and maybe put in a spray bottle and use as a toner?

thanks for your response heyheymonster,

yes, i'm thinking the sap mixed in water (or better still energized angstrom liquid minerals) and sprayed on my skin with diy oil serum and ormus moisturizer will be the way for me to go.

i feel that it is something i should leave on my skin all day or night for my skin to get the full benefit of the herb which is supposed to rebuild collagen. I have also been reading that 5-10% of the herb is ideal for adding to diy skincare products.

I didn't use the sangre de drago herb of skincare, I think instead of using the different the skin care product it is better to use the herb or natural remedies of skin care.

Calvin, i don't quite understand what you are saying.

are you posting about using sangre de drago as an herb internally or externally (or both)

or are you posting about making your own skincare with sangre de drago?

when i buy skincare i don't buy commercial products but buy from small companies and individuals i trust, so it is the same as making my own skincare. For me personally, i never use any lab created substances at all, internally or externally.

The difference, of course is n the price, it is less expensive to purchase herbs, oils etc to diy skincare than to purchase already made skin care from the companies/people i am speaking about.
