I have been reading alot recently about Korean skin care - specifically use of sheet masks.
Has anyone tried a sheet mask and if so which brand would you recommend?
thanks,

Not tried a specific sheet mask, but read a little while ago a book by Chizu Saeki where she talks about a lotion mask you can make yourself and demo's it on this video:

I really like lotion masks using oatmeal milk and honey. Very soothing. But I'm tired of separating out the cotton squares. There are inexpensive cotton and silicone masks with the holes cut out that I want to try sometime, but I'm all "gadgeted out" for now. |

I use them now and then, no particular favourite, from the cheap drugstore versions to the pricy SKII (which are very nice IMO).
Size, shape, and also position of nose, eye and mouth holes tends to vary a lot. Most, though not all, have slits/cuts so you can mould to fit your face. I sometimes use scissors to add a few extra slits to get a better fit. |

Inexpensive brands:
My Beauty Diary (Taiwan) (lots of fakes so beware)
Mandom Barrier Repair (Japan)
Kracie (Japan)
Hada Labo (Japan)
Higher end brands:
SKII (Japan)
Shiseido Benfiance (Japan)
These are brands of masks that I use on a regular basis. I tried some Korean brands such as 3wclinic and a few snail essence brands but liked the above brands better.
If you have an Asian store nearby, go check out what they are offering. I never really had a bad mask, at the very least you'll get some plumping.
The Chizu Saeki method is also good when traveling to save space but I prefer the sheet masks. |

I tried most of the sheet masks out there (being Asian). I love the convenience. SkII is the best - put it in the fridge for half hour before use and save the essence for use with my hitachi hada crie. Neutrogena also makes nice hydrating sheet mask (as well as whitening one). Silk Whitia has good milky sheet mask and whitening mask. Kracie has a good whitening mask. |

The Hydraluron sheet mask from Indeed Labs is the most amazing mask I have ever used! It is packed with hyaluronic acid and red algae, it's really amazing after exfoliation, slap it on and relax for 20 mins and it makes your skin so plump and moisturised, I love it! |
