Well I'd never heard of them before today! But they pertain to the orbicularis roll, and I discovered the term while trying to pinpoint why a lower blepharoplasty wouldn't suit me... I believe I need to revolumise this area which has always been VERY prominent in my features (and without which my eyes are vanishingly tiny), not remove the skin and have a flatter lower eyelid.
Love bands are a big trend in Korea apparently (I had links but couldn't post them, see Dr Naomi's blog and 'love bands' for a good intro), whereas in the west they seemingly are more often considered a problem!
Anyway, does anyone have ideas how to re-plump mine, and improve the skin integrity in this delicate area? They have particularly lost volume at the outer corner making them more rounded beneath the eye (not pretty) and empty and saggy (not pretty either). I don't want to do too many 'I wish' eye squeezes until someone advises whether they will contribute to the rounding effect, or tone evenly? All ideas very very welcome! |
