I'm wondering why some compagnies such as, Estee Lauder, Liera and so on still sale skin care product in jars ?

Sometimes there are products I would like to try but they are sold in jars. Therefore, I pass on these.

There are advantages and disadvantages to all containers. As long as you are checking your products for different visual, odor changes, and moisture changes, you should be able to keep the product for a about a year ... maybe longer.

I know Paula of Paula's Choice is very outspoken about products should not be in jars as the actives break down quicker, etc.....

I use an eye cream that is sold in a jar. As it helps lighten up under the eye; I know it is working. Almost done the jar and the cream is still working.

What is the name of the cream that you are using?

I also like Pure Skin Formulations (available at EDS).

I have to agree with the Paulas Choice people to always use sealed bottles, containers. That way your fingers stay out of the product thus not contaminating your product. Air also comprimises the antioxidants in jarred containers. Two very good reasons to never buy a product in jars.

Sealed containers (ie: pump, tube, etc.) are easier than jars. I always use a spatula for my eye cream. Spatula is washed in the dishwasher.

There is bland moisturizers ie: CeraVe, Cetaphil, Eucerin, etc. that come in huge jars as well as a smaller tube.
