I am so upset. Years ago I searched high and low for a mineral make up that would not accentuate my middle aged pores and I have been using LaurEss for years. I have not looked around for a while and the choices might be better now. Anyone have a suggestion? It has to be matte and very few ingredients and only the lightest coverage. Just enough to even out skin. Also I have a tendency to get bumps. I am not sure if it is milia or sebaceous hyperplasia. I hope is not the mineral make up that caused that. I wear it just about every day. If anyone knows if there is a connection or if you have seen any posts about this please tell me.

I am sorry to hear about another mineral makeup company closing.

I am still on the look out for a replacement for Lumiere foundation.

Can you post the ingredients in your foundation?

I have sebaceous hyperplasia on my forehead. Milia tend to be under the eye area and are often caused by a heavy/rich eye cream.

I am upset over LaurEss closing also because I loved their bronzer and correctors. However, if you are looking for great mineral make-up for sensitive skin/dermatological issues I highly recommend Mineral Hygienics (just search for them online)! Their make-up only has a few ingredients and I've never had any issues on my dry, super-sensitive skin. It has long wearability-I put it on in the morning and it still looks as fresh in the evening when I get home from work. I absolutely love it. I don't sell it or anything (I just realized I sound like I do haha)-it really is the best I've found and I've tried everything out there.

Autumn - The Lauress foundation I was using is their Elemental - Zinc Oxide, Mica, Titanium Oxide, Iron Oxides and Lauroyl Lysine. I just read that the formulas changed a while ago and Minimalist is closest to the original Lauress. That is probably the one I should have been using through much of the year because it is for oilier skin. I am going to stock up on some of that as long as they have it in. I found another that looks good called Meow. Purrr-fect and Pampered look like they are worth trying.

My milia is a mystery because I do not use rich products at all. Mostly serums. However I have been using 302 Skin Care for years and I am beginning to wonder if I am one of the few unlucky people who get clogged up from Jojoba!

My research has turned up the lines Alima, Longona and Lavera. I dread finding a color. I was soft gold in Lauress and it took lots of sampling and trial and error. Not looking forward to going through that again.

Jeannyous - thanks for the suggestion . I will check Hygienics out.

The sampling can get expensive. I am in Canada so the shipping costs can be prohibitive and that company is eliminated. (Looking at you - Alima.)

On the plus side, I tend to order lots of eye shadow samples and fun stuff. Meow has reasonable costs for samples and I found my HG bronzer there. Lots of options for fair skin; Surfer Cat is my choice.

Another suggestion is Merle Norman. If you have a store near by; go in and get coloured matched. Their foundation is only four ingredients.
