| I remember reading an article in the mid 1990s which said that the minute the sunscreen gets put on your skin, it's working. The 15-20 minute thing had to do making sure you apply sunscreen before going outdoors, since some people wait until they are in their car or in their workplace before putting on sunscreen. But nowadays you supposedly need 20 minutes for the sunscreen to be absorbed into your skin? Is that really the case? |

It is suggested that chemical sunscreens need time to be absorbed.
Physical or mineral sunscreens do not as they stay on the surface of the skin. |
