Ok, enough is enough. There has been so much talk about JI recently that I just cannot resist any longer  Which is ridiculous really cos I do  my BE, but now I need to have the JI.
So I think I'm gonna go for the pressed powder but I need help in choosing a shade please. BE #1.2 (Fairly Light) is too pale for me, and BE #2 (Light) is too orangy, so I'm mixing the two together now and getting a great result. Should I go for a warm, cool or neutral shade in the JI? I have blond hair and dark blue eyes. I'm thinking satin is a pretty safe bet from what Lolli has said in another thread, but I'm not sure if she uses the pressed or the loose powder 
I know that I can order samples from skin-etc but I'm impatient and I want to order the full size

| rzecka - it appears as though we have the same coloring. I too, mix BE 1.2 and 2 and your right, BE 2 is too orangy. I went for a JI professional color match (pressed powder) and Warm Silk is perfect. She also said the Warm Silk is the most used color as it is so forgiving. Hope this helps. |

I'm a warm silk in JI pressed powder too. I went to my local day spa that sold JI and got a sample first before I bought the full size. I always thought I was a cool tone, but warm silk works excellent for me!! Sorry can't compare to BE since I've never tried it... |

| I'm probably too late but I have to chime in because I'm using 1.2 and 2 mixed too! For the same reasons you two have mentioned. Also, JI Satin - neutral and Warm Silk both work for me, the Satin is less yellow and tad darker than the Warm Silk. |

I can wear warm silk and warm sienna. Satin is in between but less yellow. Worked good for mom but not me.
Amber was far too yellow...I can see it being good for asian skins. |

Ok, I'm a little bit worried now. When you guys say the Satin is less yellow, that doesn't mean the Warm Silk is going to look orange on me right?  
ps. Do you guys use the handibrush with the pressed powder? |

| I tried the loose powder mostly and I use JI flocked sponge, but I don't think it's recommended for pressed, I use it for my loose BE too. I did try Warm Silk in pressed (with the BE foundation brush, not Kabuki or Handi they are similar I think) and loose and they are not orange in the least, more ivory. The Satin is a very neutral colour, meaning it isn't pink or yellow, just sort of beige/tan coloured. I hope you aren't more confused! |

Warm silk is not orange at all. It is sort of a beigey colour, but definitely for golden undertones.
Amber is a yellow undertone. |
