I constantly have bumps all over my face and had discovered something that was helping to really keep them down a lot which is Neutrogena's scrub which has salicylic acid, some small amount of glycolic acid, and polyethylene beads. I had tried salicylic acid before using salicylic acid pads and also had tried a stronger glycolic acid cream before and had little change in my skin so I attributed the smoother skin to the beads in combination with salicylic and glyolic.
Well, I used this scrub for about 3 weeks everyday in the shower, scrubbing twice a day in the morning and night and would scrub for about 10 minutes and let the product sit and tingle on my face.
My skin was getting smoother and even some fine lines seemed to smooth out, I was impressed. Then a week ago my skin changed to crap! It went back to the way it had been before with all the bumps and bad skin texture, but not only that, I noticed fine lines had deepened significantly, particularly the ones around my mouth seem to be effected the most. I'm young and before using this method, my fine lines weren't so deep. I keep using moisturizer and a humidifier and trying to drink lots of water but it isn't helping. Did I dehydrate, damage my skin? If so, why are the lines around my mouth effected more?
And why has the product stopped working for me?? What do I do? |

I agree. Try only using the scrub twice a week for 2 minutes at a time and see how you do. You could try using the acids as prescribed in between treatments. Here's a link to expert tips, https://www.skinlaboratory.com/faq/expert-tips/. |

| Right, but what should I do right now for my skin. I clearly stopped exfoliating now. But what else do I try doing? |

I would put 100% hyaluronic acid serum on to put moisture back into the skin. |
