Hi ladies. Last Monday, Nov. 23 I had a TCA peel on my arms. First she applied 3 jessners and then 2 TCA's.
On Wednesday I noticed alittle bump on my stomach which then has led to a rash or bumps all over my body but not really my arms. Back of thighs, under my bra line, stomach and back. They are like little pimples and I can even kind of scratch some and there is fluid in them. Of course last night trying to sleep my feet itched something awful and I put hydrocortsone cream and itch cream on them.
I take a daily certizine so I didn't want to take any benedryl.
They told me to up my fish oil to 2 tablets a day because of my dry skin. I can't figure out what has caused this??????? Fish oil? The jessners I know you can be allergic to but usually just where it's applied I'm guessing.
Anyone? thoughts?
Better today but I still feel alittle itchy and the bumps are still there...
oh, skipped the fish oil today just in case but I'd not had a problem with one daily... |

found out that it has to do with my hashimotos and 40% of us hashimotos thyroid people can get these for odd reasons or no reason. Normally if your body is compromised by a virus or just compromised. I did have a stomach virus.
So now I'm on predisone and a new nightime antimhistime atarex along with the certizine that I already take every morning
I made a big mistake by using Prevage last Wednesday night after my tria and wow, felt like I had the worse sunburn ever and red and swollen. I think it was all related to the hashimotos/allergic reaction that I might not normally have had. |

Sounds like a challenge with the various reactions. I've heard those with hashimotos have to be careful for the side effects.
Did you get a good result from the peel? Or still too soon to tell? |

It's really too soon to tell. I had one done on Sept. 29 and this was the 2nd. Was kind of disappointed but I saw pictures of someone who had it done and the results were fantastic (she had 2). I don't think it was trick photography either. I really trust this lady - she puts it out there. I just hope I'm not a lost cause. I most likely will need another to really get to "new skin".
One thing I wonder though. I did have coolsculpting on my arms in July and I may have looser skin because of it. Arms are a bit more defined but the esticitican agreed maybe that's why I haven't responded as well as the other gal. |
