I bought a dozen tubes of 0.025% Tretinoin gel from All Day Chemist, and bought a big number to save on $25 shipping!

I am not sure to store these tubes as they'll probably last me 2 years? Do I need to refrigerate them? Any advice is appreciated.

Refrigeration is not necessary or recommended. Store them in a drawer or somewhere out of direct sunlight. Retin A will keep on its own for about 2 years. There should be an expiration date on the bottom of the tube.

I've also purchased both the cream and gel Retin-A from ADC.

Both of them I have had in the freezer (not fridge) for the same reasons as you (large purchase), and later thawed and used.

I can detect no difference in efficacy between the RA that has been frozen and the RA that never has been frozen. I still 'flake' two days after applying it, just as I do with the non-frozen product.

So, my conclusion is that RA creams and gels can be stored in the freezer without issues.
I expect them to be good for many years - way past the two year shelf life they have normally.

I have been told by a few derms not to place Retin A in the freezer because the temperature change actually creates a reaction within the Retin A creams. Same may not be true for the gel but they also argued that the temperature change will usually interfere with the absorption of Retin A (but I think they mean if you apply directly from the fridge).
