Vitamin E works quite well.

If you buy a bottle of vitamin E pills at the drug store, break open a capsule and put the oil on the affected area, it works well - and it's cheaper (and more concentrated) than the vitamin E creams.

From past experience, I have found that this is a slower process (so don't expect results immediately), but it pays off in the long run.

Good luck!

Camellia oil maybe? I used Silkia camellia oil which indeed got rid of my very deeply pitted acne scars on the forehead after one and a half years. I've never even dreamed that it was possible. So the oil will help, but you have to give it a lot of time.

Hi April, try looking up Miracell, it might be that one, I mentioned it some time ago,www.miracell.com. Have a read of their site, I know a girl at work used it and she was happy with it, but her scars weren't deep and old ones........ Ive used it under my eyes when they were dry and it was great for re hydrating.

Could it have been bio-oil? That also got mentioned here in talks about scars but I don't know how effective it really is.

For acne scars I would recommend a combination of Dermalogica Microfoliant together with a vitamin C serum. That seems to make my post-blemish marks heal faster.

Indeed the oil is called Miracell. I bought two bottles of this and discovered it was nothing really special. At the website theres a testimonial that says it takes off eye makeup, well not so! It does not take off eye makeup. I'm meaning FULL eye makeup, not just eye shadow.

I agree about bio oil. That gets recommended alot. Also emu oil and silicone is good for scars.

Vitamin E works wonders, I've read that all those other concoctions of oils and miracle things are just vitamin E with some fragrance marked up a thousand percent!

Trilogy Rosehip oil.
It works wonders on scars.
I had a bad acne scar , and it healed my scar within days.

An old chicken pox scar(i had from years ago), disappeared after applying the oil on it for 2 weeks.

The thing to remember with rosehip seed oil, is that it can aggravate active acne. It's great for healing scars, but I probably wouldn't use it if you still have any active or inflamed acne.

I'd recommend Egyptian Magic on newly formed scars, but not for older ones. I'll keep telling everyone about these products, but Pai Rosehip ReGenerate Fruit & Seed Oil Blend is phenomenal for acne scars or any scarring at all. Also, Lina Hanson's Global Face Serum. Check out the ingredients - hefty on the healing and regenerative.
